Welcome to the TLOD HGC Community Group!

Hello, inspiring women of Haymarket and Gainesville! Whether you're deeply involved in service or just discovering our mission, this space is your platform to connect, reflect, and celebrate the impact we make together through mentorship, empowerment, and community transformation.

1. What Inspired Your Path with TLOD?

Since its charter in May 2018, our chapter—Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc., Haymarket-Gainesville Chapter (TLOD HGC)—has intentionally served the Western Prince William County community. We deepen legacies of service through programs like Top Teens of America (TTA) and various service initiatives. Tlodhgc

Prompt:What brought you into TLOD HGC? Was it the TTA youth mentorship, a spark to serve seniors, or our heart for community-building? Share your “why.”

2. Serving Through Strong Partnerships

From community beautification to advocacy in literacy, scholarships, and health initiatives, TLOD HGC collaborates with national organizations like the NAACP, NCNW, UNCF, Sickle Cell Disease Association, and March of Dimes—ensuring our impact aligns with broader social justice and health equity goals. Tlodhgc

Prompt:Which service area motivates you most—youth education, elder care, health awareness, or scholarship outreach? Let’s highlight where our strengths intersect.

3. Stories of Influence & Empowerment

Our TTA program stands out, empowering teens through mentorship that has led to college scholarships and higher education opportunities. It’s one reason our national theme, “Continuity of Service in Action,” continues to resonate deeply. Tlodhgc

Prompt:Have you seen or participated in a “lightbulb moment” through TTA or another initiative? Share that spark—every personal story expands our collective legacy.

4. Deepening Our Collective Impact

Our chapter engages deeply with issues from Sickle Cell awareness to Alzheimer’s support and senior wellness, using education, outreach, and advocacy. Tlodhgc

Prompt:What issue or program would you love for us to spotlight next? A health fair, mentorship roundtable, or collaborative literacy project—what idea resonates with your passion?

5. Weekly Reflection: A Moment That Moved You

Prompt:Think back on this week—what action, conversation, or moment made you remember why you serve? It could be as simple as a “thank you,” a shared laugh, or seeing growth in someone’s eyes.

How to Engage & Nurture Connection

You Can…Inspire Others With…Share your motivation“I joined because I wanted to be a mentor.”Highlight a moment of impact“Seeing a teen get accepted into college changed me.”Ask or discuss ideas“How can we support mental health awareness best?”Propose group themes“Could we focus on intergenerational support next?”

Together, we’re more than a membership—we are legacy, empowerment, and community woven together through action and care. Thank you for bringing your voice, vision, and heart into this group.

Welcome to TLOD HGC—where service becomes art, and every life we touch becomes a chapter in a story far greater than our own.
